Brazilian brothers, Fernando and Humberto Campana, have been carving out a career of world renown since they first burst onto the design scene in 1983 with their avant-garde upcycling ideas. The duo’s work is rooted in transformation and reinvention: giving preciousness to poor, day-to-day or common materials. Named after the Italian word for powder puff, the Cipria sofa for Italian brand, Edra, exemplifies this rags-to-riches vision.
The piece is composed of nine cushions fixed to an invisible metal frame. These cushions are stuffed with Edra’s patented material innovations: Gellyfoam and Dacron synthetic wadding, and covered in ecological faux furs of different thicknesses for a strikingly eclectic look. Whether it is in chic white, soft pink, sleek black or the vibrant multi-coloured design pictured, Cipria is sure to serve as a statement seat in your home. Available here.
