National Museum of Oman

On December 14 2015 the National Museum of Oman held its official opening, inaugurating a vast space of over 13,700 square-metres that holds some 7,000 artefacts. Situated in the historic walled city of Old Muscat, the museum is set to promote the cultural heritage of Oman, from prehistoric times to the current day. The impressive space, which features a traditional aesthetic with a modern twist, was designed by Turkish firm ArtsArchitecture.
