START Art Fair, presented by Prudential, opened its doors from 14 to 18 September 2016, at the Saatchi Gallery, London. The art fair exhibited the works of emerging artists from all over the world, from London to Seoul, Buenos Aires, Capetown, Tehran and Tbilisi, among others. Among the new exhibitions were a.m. space (Hong Kong), ART+TEXT BUDAPEST (Budapest), Bosse & Baum (London), Exhibit320 (Delhi) and Lin &  Lin Gallery (Taipei). Accompanying the fair were four curated exhibitions, which were as central as the main fair. Future Island was an overview of contemporary Taiwanese art curated by Mehta Bell Projects. Baghdad Manifesto was the debut London solo exhibition by Iraqi-born artist Mahmoud Obaidi. Identity, Construction and Destruction was a presentation of works by emerging artists who have taken part in the Fire Station Artists inResidence programme in Doha, Qatar, curated by Obaidi. And In the Garden was an immersive installation by Sumakshi Singh, the emerging New Delhi multimedia artist.
